Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals publishes original research papers of both an experimental and theoretical nature in three areas of specialization: molecular crystals (spectroscopy, energy, and charge transfer, solid state reactions, photo and radiation effects); low-dimensional solids (structure, electronic, magnetic, and optical properties, transport mechanisms); and liquid crystals (electro- and magneto-optical phenomena, thermodynamics, phase transitions, structure, NMR and orientation controlled spectroscopy). In all three areas, experimental manuscripts describing both preparation and properties will be considered.
Molecular Ecology publishes papers that utilize molecular genetic techniques to address consequential questions in ecology, evolution, behaviour and conservation. Studies may employ neutral markers for inference about ecological and evolutionary processes or examine ecologically important genes and their products directly.
Molecular Ecology Resources is a vehicle for the rapid dissemination of new tools for molecular genetic studies in natural populations. The main areas covered by Molecular Ecology Resources are the development of new genotyping resources, the reporting of important new techniques and the announcement and testing of new computer software. The journal also publishes empirical and theoretical papers on DNA Barcoding and reviews of recent technical advances in the field of molecular ecology.
Molecular Informatics is a peer-reviewed, international forum for publication of high-quality, interdisciplinary research on all molecular aspects of bio/cheminformatics and computer-assisted molecular design. Molecular Informatics presents methodological innovations that will lead to a deeper understanding of ligand-receptor interactions, macromolecular complexes, molecular networks, design concepts and processes that demonstrate how ideas and design concepts lead to molecules with a desired structure or function, preferably including experimental validation.
Molecular Nutrition & Food Research is a primary research journal devoted to health, safety and all aspects of molecular nutrition such as nutritional biochemistry, nutrigenomics and metabolomics aiming to link the information arising from related disciplines: Bioactivity & Safety - Nutritional and medical effects of food constituents including integrated risk/benefit evaluations; Immunology - Understanding the interactions of food and the immune system; Microbiology - Food spoilage, food pathogens, chemical and physical approaches of fermented foods and novel microbial processes; Chemistry - Isolation and analysis of bioactive food ingredients while considering environmental aspects.
Molecular Simulation covers all aspects of research related to, or of importance to, molecular modelling and simulation (including informatics, theoretical and experimental work). Molecular Simulation exists to bring together the most significant papers concerned with applications of simulation methods, and original contributions to the development of simulation methodology from biology and biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, materials and nanomaterials, medicine, physics and information science. The aim is to provide a forum in which cross fertilization between application areas, methodologies, disciplines, as well as academic and industrial researchers can take place and new developments can be encouraged.
Molecules is an open access journal of synthetic organic chemistry and natural product chemistry. All articles are peer-reviewed and published continously upon acceptance. Molecules is published by MDPI, Basel, Switzerland.
